If anything on here should tickle your brain in one way or another, just drop me a line. Would be interesting to know who's actually reading, apart from Buster of course ;)

White noise

sitting still for a moment
turning off all the chatter music
                                               news the neighbour
                                               teachers beggars haters
                                               feeds the furious fish
                                               with a megaphone

there’s silence for a second

then suddenly the deafening
roar of your heartbeat
waves of blood
rushing past your ears
gush upon gush
of white noise
fracturing your inner
hearing

then

the urge to shut yourself out again
to chat and sing
to exchange your own
chaos for external order to
shake your head to the news
laugh at the neighbor
ignore teachers beggars
hate haters
be fed
and swim along.

I like the chaotic, almost nonsensical style. It is impressionistic in a way. A ceetain mood is certainly conveyed. Familiar feelings: this need to shut out all the chatter, as well as the compulsion to chat.

Yeah, generally this is about this schizophrenic human condition of always wanting the opposite of what we got. Being alone, we want company; always being around people, we can't stand them anymore. Being thrown back to our own selves, we long for interaction again...
